Mentors

Verkom Initiative Mentors are executives with a track record of business success who volunteer their experience, advice and support to client companies, with the key objective of accelerating growth and building client capability.  In some cases this will be with a view to securing employment either on a contract or permanent basis in the future.

The initiative is frequently refreshed with executives with high levels of achievement.  Our Mentor Panel includes professionals with proven skills in:

  • Program Management, Project Management, and Business Analysis.
  • IT Management and Software Development Management
  • Corporate Finance
  • Human Resource Management
  • Accountancy
  • Business Development and Sales
  • Legal Advice
  • Business Strategy

How does it work?

Members choose from a short-list of mentors and the goals and objectives are established by the client in agreement with the Mentor at the start of the assignment.

Mutual trust, openness and confidentiality form the basis of the relationship between a Mentor and a company. The Mentor needs to have a detailed understanding of the company’s background, current position and future plans in order to give relevant comment and advice.

Mentors will not discuss your business with third parties without express permission. Confidentiality works both ways: the Mentor will candidly discuss relevant past experiences and insights in the expectation that such information will be treated with discretion.
